Advanced Semiconductor Reports 51 Million Automotive Electronic Chip Revenues in the First Half of the Year

In the first half of the year, Advanced Semiconductor’s revenue from automotive electronic chips reached 53 million yuan (the same below), which exceeded the level of more than 40 million for the whole year last year. Director of investor relations Xiao Weiming said that the year-on-year growth of the business revenue by the target year could reach 10%. He said that this business has a positive contribution to the Group and that its gross profit margin has performed well. The Group will increase the research and development of this business in the future and will also focus on the development of two MEMS and IGBT businesses. In the first half of the year, it invested 24 million yuan in research and development funds. It is expected that the R&D investment quota for this year will be 50% more than the 29 million yuan for the whole year.

He also pointed out that the capital expenditure for the first half of the year was 45 million yuan, and that this year's total capital expenditure was 200 million yuan.

As for the MEMS business, he pointed out that the Group completed the construction of its clean room and equipment installation in the first half of the year, and began to improve its production port certification and yield. It is expected that the production will be completed in the second half of this year.
