With the addition of the "Publish to XtendedReality" feature in Solidworks, users can now export CAD models via Meta2 for viewing in augmented reality. Convert to GL Transfer Format (gITF) The open source file specification changes the version of the export file to include information such as display status, materials, colors, animations, and 3D model hierarchies. Although this is not included with Solidworks, 3DCAD files exported from this application will support colors, materials and animations. The ability to view 3DCAD drawings can make Meta2 more attractive to companies in the construction and manufacturing industries, enabling users to preview designs and operations with gestures and present them to colleagues in a more natural space than 2D screens. MetaMikhail, chief revenue officer of Meta, said in a statement issued by the company: "Supporting 3DCAD viewing is very important for our customers and the development of the AR market. Through this new Solidworks integration, our common customers will be from existing ones. The solidworks model delivers tangible business value, and for our developers, this technology will enable them to create a more immersive, realistic and transformative AR experience in an instant." Support for 3DCAD is not as exciting as the compatibility of AR games, but for Meta, which is a business customer, this may be more beneficial. Therefore, in addition to Meta's software library, Dell has another arrow to target potential Meta2 corporate buyers. At present, Meta2's Solidworks can only get a private beta through an invitation, but interested people can register to get Meta.
